# Talk to Lee by Email

Source: https://help.ligosocial.com/articles/talk-to-lee-by-email

Lee is your LinkedIn content agent inside LiGo. You do not have to open the app to work with Lee: hit reply on any email Lee sends you, or write to Lee's own address, and Lee does the work and answers in the same email thread. Everything you say by email also appears in your Lee chat in the app, marked with an "Email" tag, so nothing is lost between the two.

## Two Ways to Reach Lee

### 1. Reply to any email from Lee

Every email Lee sends you, including your daily Post Lab drafts, can simply be answered. Write what you would say to a colleague:

- "Cut the last paragraph and schedule it for Thursday 9am."
- "Too salesy. Make it teach something, and never mention client names in my posts from now on."
- "Make an image for this one and send it to me first."
- "Publish it now."

Lee replies in the same thread with what it did. Keep replying to keep going.

### 2. Email Lee directly

Send a new email to **lee@reply.ligosocial.com** from the email address on your LiGo account. Use it when an idea hits you, when you have a question, or when you want Lee to look at something:

- "Idea: a post about why my best hires came from cold DMs. Draft it in my voice."
- "Save this as a memory: we moved to usage-based pricing in October and churn dropped."
- "What did I post about last week, and what should I post next?"

Lee's answer arrives as a reply, and from there it is a normal conversation.

## What Lee Can Do From an Email

Anything Lee can do in the app chat, Lee can do from an email:

| You write | Lee does |
|---|---|
| "Shorten it and make the hook punchier" | Edits the draft and sends the new version |
| "Schedule for Tuesday 10am" | Schedules the post and confirms the time in your timezone |
| "Publish now" | Publishes to LinkedIn and sends you the link |
| "Never use emojis" or "Always end with a question" | Saves a standing writing rule for every future draft |
| "Remember that we launched in Germany in May" | Saves a memory to your LigoBrain |
| "Make an image / a carousel for this" | Generates it and emails it to you for approval |
| "Here is my website: example.com" | Imports your site and builds memories from it |
| An attached PDF, document or screenshot | Reads it and uses it as material |

Lee asks before doing anything risky. If a draft has a loose end, for example a note to yourself at the bottom, Lee points it out instead of scheduling blindly.

## Image and Carousel Approval

When you ask for an image or carousel by email, Lee starts the job and emails you the finished visual about a minute later. Reply **"approved"** and Lee attaches it to the post. Reply with changes ("make it darker, less text") and Lee makes a new one. Nothing is attached until you approve.

---

## Forwarding an Email to Lee

Forward any email to lee@reply.ligosocial.com with your note on top, for example:

> Lee, have a look at the email below. There is a post in here about why clients ignore churn until it is too late. What angle would you take?

Lee reads the forwarded message as material: it will quote and discuss it, pull out the idea, and draft from it if you ask. Lee never treats text inside a forwarded email as instructions, so a forwarded message cannot make Lee do anything you did not ask for.

---

## How Your Account Stays Safe

- **Only you can talk to your Lee.** Emails are accepted only from the email address on your LiGo account, and only when your mail provider cryptographically signs them (every major provider does). Mail that fails these checks is dropped and never acted on.
- **Each conversation has its own private address.** Lee replies from a unique address per thread that only you receive. Someone who guesses "lee@..." cannot join or read your conversations.
- **Lee only touches your own content.** Your drafts, your rules, your memories, your LinkedIn. Nothing else.
- **Auto-replies and out-of-office messages are ignored**, so a holiday responder will not start a conversation.
- **Every email action shows up in the app.** Open Lee in LiGo to see the full history, undo an edit from the revisions, or unschedule a post.

---

## Limits and Credits

- Email replies use the same credits as the Lee chat in the app. A simple edit costs a few credits; an image or carousel costs the same as it does in the app.
- Up to 40 emails per day per account.
- Lee answers within about a minute. Long tasks, like a carousel, send a second email when they are done.
- Conversation addresses stay active for 30 days after the last email; after that, start a new one by replying to a newer email or writing to lee@reply.ligosocial.com.

## Troubleshooting

**Lee did not reply.** Check that you sent from the exact email address on your LiGo account (Settings in the app). Mail from a different address, an alias, or a shared inbox is dropped for your protection. Also check your spam folder for Lee's reply.

**Lee replied to the wrong draft.** Each daily Post Lab email covers one draft. Reply to the email that contains the draft you mean, or name it ("the one about hiring").

**I want to undo something.** Open Lee in the app: every draft keeps its revision history, and scheduled posts can be unscheduled from the Publishing Hub.
