# Saving Leads from LinkedIn to LiGo CRM

Source: https://help.ligosocial.com/articles/saving-leads-from-linkedin-to-ligo-crm

With the LigoAI Chrome extension you can save people to your LigoSocial CRM straight from LinkedIn, either from their profile or from one of their posts. You then manage everyone in one table, the **Prospect Manager**, in the web app. This guide covers both parts.

The CRM is available on plans that include it; see **Billing** in the app. Without it, the CRM page shows **Premium Feature** with an **Upgrade Your Plan** button.

## Part 1: Save a lead from LinkedIn

1. Make sure the LigoAI extension is installed in Chrome or Edge and that you are signed in.
2. Find the person on LinkedIn:
   - **On their profile:** right-click anywhere on the page, open the **LigoAI** entry in the menu and choose **💼 Save to LiGo**.
   - **On one of their posts** (feed, post page or search results): right-click the post, open the **LigoAI** entry and choose **💼 Save to CRM**.
3. The side panel opens on the **CRM** tab with an **Add Prospect** form, already filled in with the name, headline, company, location and photo LigoAI could read. If you saved from a post, the start of the post is added to **Notes**.
4. Complete the form:
   - **Name *** (required), **Job Title**, **Company**, **Email**, **Location**
   - **Stage**: **Lead** (default), **Prospect**, **Qualified**, **Opportunity** or **Customer**
   - **Labels**: type a label in **Add label...** and press Enter
   - **Notes**: why you saved them, what you talked about, next step
5. Click **Save**. You will see **Prospect added**.

Saving is private. The person is not notified on LinkedIn.

For searching, editing and filtering inside the extension, see [Prospects (CRM)](https://help.ligosocial.com/articles/prospects-crm).

## Part 2: Manage leads in the Prospect Manager

Open the **Prospect Manager** at [https://app.ligosocial.com/basic-crm](https://app.ligosocial.com/basic-crm). In the Classic layout it is **ENGAGE** > **Leads (CRM)**; the default Focus layout has no sidebar item for it. From the extension, **Open Full CRM (<n> more)** appears at the bottom of the CRM tab once you have more than 20 prospects.

At the top of the page you have three buttons:

- **Columns** opens **Customize Table Columns**, where you choose which columns to show, including your custom fields.
- **Export** downloads the prospects in the current view as a CSV file, using the visible columns.
- **Add Prospect** adds someone by hand.

Below them:

- **Search prospects by name or location (min 3 characters)...**
- **Filter by Labels**, to show only prospects with the labels you tick. Label filters are paused while a search is active.

The table shows **Name**, **Stage**, **Location**, **LinkedIn**, **Notes**, **Labels** and **Custom Fields**. Use the pencil icon on a row to edit it, or the trash icon to delete it. Deleting in the web app happens right away, with no confirmation, so double-check first. Prospects load 50 per page.

If you have no prospects yet, the page shows **Add prospects while you browse LinkedIn**, with **Install Chrome Extension** and **Add Prospect Manually** buttons.

## Add a prospect manually

Use this for leads from events, email or referrals.

1. Click **Add Prospect**.
2. In **Add New Prospect**, fill in **Name *** and any of **Stage**, **Location**, **LinkedIn URL**, **Notes** and **Labels** (type in **Add a label**).
3. Under **Custom Fields**, click **Add New Custom Field** to store anything else, for example "Company Size" with the value "50-100 employees".
4. Click **Add Prospect**.

To change a prospect later, click the pencil icon. The form opens as **Edit Prospect**; click **Update Prospect** to save.

## Keep your pipeline tidy

**Use the five stages consistently.** For example:

- **Lead**: saved, not contacted yet
- **Prospect**: you have reached out
- **Qualified**: a good fit and worth pursuing
- **Opportunity**: active conversation about working together
- **Customer**: they bought

**Use a simple label system.** Short, repeatable labels such as "finance", "agency-owner", "event-oct" or "warm" make **Filter by Labels** and **Export** far more useful.

**Date your notes.** A line like "2026-10-08: asked about pricing for their team" builds a clear history.

**Review weekly.** Move people forward a stage, add notes from recent conversations, and remove leads that are no longer relevant (or give them a "dormant" label if you may come back to them).

## Common questions

**Is there a limit on how many prospects I can save?**
The CRM does not set a fixed number of prospects. The web app shows them 50 per page.

**Can I export my prospects?**
Yes. Click **Export** in the Prospect Manager to download a CSV of the current view.

**Can I share my prospect list with team members?**
Prospects belong to each LigoSocial account and are not shared between users.

**Which browsers does the extension support?**
Chrome and Microsoft Edge on desktop. See [Browser and device requirements](https://help.ligosocial.com/articles/browser-device-requirements).

**What happens when I delete a prospect?**
It is removed permanently. If you might need them again, change the stage or add a label instead.
