# Delete your LigoSocial account and data

Go to **Settings**, **Profile**, scroll to **Delete Account**, type **delete my account** and confirm. Your account and all its data are deleted permanently, and any active subscription is cancelled. This cannot be undone.

## Before you delete

- **Just want to stop paying?** You do not need to delete your account. [Cancel your subscription](https://help.ligosocial.com/articles/cancel-subscription) instead and keep your content.
- **Want to keep your posts?** Copy anything you want to keep first. Deleted content cannot be recovered.
- **Only the account owner can delete.** Team members on delegate access cannot delete the owner's account.

## Delete your account

1. Sign in at [app.ligosocial.com](https://app.ligosocial.com) and open **Settings**.
2. Click **Profile** and scroll down to the **Delete Account** card.
3. Read the list under **What data will be deleted?**
4. Type **delete my account** in the box.
5. Click **Delete My Account Permanently**.
6. You see **Account Deleted** and are signed out.

## What gets deleted

- All posts, drafts, scheduled posts, themes and content ideas.
- LinkedIn analytics and profile data stored in LigoSocial.
- Chrome extension preferences.
- Your subscription (cancelled) and billing history.

## Remove LigoSocial from LinkedIn too

Deleting your LigoSocial account does not remove the permission you gave on LinkedIn. To remove it:

1. On LinkedIn, open **Settings & Privacy**, then **Data privacy**.
2. Open **Permitted services**.
3. Find the app (LinkedIn lists it as "LiGo by Ertiqah") and click **Remove**.
